About Me
Whenever I visit a website that I find interesting I always find myself a little curious and wondering what the person is like behind it. So with that in mind I thought I might add this little blurb about me, and since you're reading this page then I guess you must be a little curious about me.
I was born in 1949 in England, which means I've been on this planet for over a half a century (sounds a long time, doesn't it?) and I came to Australia when I was about five. I consider myself an Australian through and through and I'm damn proud of it!
I dropped out of High School before finishing my second year, worked a few jobs before joining the Army (it seemed like a steady pay packet at the time). Did my time in Vietnam and got out after 6 years, got married to a wonderful woman (still married today) and have two beautiful grown up daughters and one handsome grandson.
Had my own retail store hiring videos and selling computers back in the early eighties (anyone remember the Commodore 64 and Amiga). This was before the boom with video and computers started.
In 2001 the wheels fell off! The experts tell me that I have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder because of the war. All I know is that I don't have all of my marbles any more, some are missing or broken. So the Australian Government pays me a pension to stay home and not work any more, which is really a good idea because I don't manage very well in the real world now.
One of the expert psychiatrists sent a letter to my doctor telling him that he thinks I'm homicidal, but perhaps that's just because he's a spineless, overpaid moron who only knows what he's read in a book.
This is why this website came about, I like nothing better than sitting alone in my room and tapping away at this piece of plastic, it gives me a peace and tranquility that I am unable to have in the real world and I am constantly amazed at the number of people who visit this site, the amount of times my software is downloaded, the nice emails I receive and the kind comments in my guestbook.
It gives me a great deal of satisfaction and a feeling of usefulness to think that there are people who gain enjoyment from something I have done.
Please bookmark this site, add a link from your own website, tell someone else about it and make sure you keep popping back as I'll be adding much, much more to this site, after all - I don't have much else to do.

In case anyone is wondering what the hell I look like, here's a family picture taken in 2004. And I think this is an excellent explanation of why I'm still here.
Next to me is my lovely wife and either side of us are my two beautiful daughters, with my cherished grandson in the front.
My grandson was only two when this picture was taken.
And I still can't understand why the hell they still care about me, especially my wife.
They gave me medals for fighting in a war, but I think my wife deserves them more than I do for putting up with me for so long!
If you happen to get some pleasure from visiting this site I would only ask one thing of you. The next time you see someone less fortunate than yourself - maybe someone who is homeless and begging for money - maybe someone who looks a little lost, or maybe someone who needs a helping hand just to get started again, please stop and help in whatever way you can.
You won't get your name in the paper or on TV and in all probability no-one will ever know that you did an unselfish act, but you will know that you had the integrity, the courage and the human kindness to help a fellow human bring in time of need.
I figure that if every second person in the world took the time to help one other human being each day in some small way, we would all be living in Paradise.
